Here's a whimsical poem mostly written in a span of five minutes! I guess I wanted a change as I continue working on my other considerably more difficult (and serious) piece.
I prod you with my finger.
That stink! that stench!
I'm off to get my hammer.
Seated in silence,
a-waiting to be eaten.
Unhappy, ungrateful
you're waiting to be beaten.
I'm back, my beauty!
Daddy's got his hammer!
Look now, no crying,
I'll only crack you open
Bang! It's done!
Your stench now fills my room
I scoop! I lick!
My durian meets its doom.
